Randomized Computation for the Current Stress Policy Design in the DAB Converter

IEEE Control Systems Letters, 2021
This letter addresses the current stress policy design in the Dual-Active-Bridge (DAB) converters with the randomized computation approach. First, a hybrid automaton approach is applied to model the dynamics of the DAB converter. Then the optimal feedback policy of a quadruple-phase-shift is obtained via solving a peak current minimization problem with

Comparison between full-bridge-forward converter and DAB converter

2013 Brazilian Power Electronics Conference, 2013
This paper analyzes and compares the dual active bridge (DAB) converter and the full-bridge-forward integrated DC-DC converter when applied to a microgrid energy storage bidirectional system that demands high power flow at the discharging operation mode and low power flow at the charging operation mode.

Soft-switching capabilities of SAB vs. DAB converters

IECON 2015 - 41st Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2015
The paper is concerned with the soft-switching capabilities of the Single Active Bridge (SAB) converter. At first, soft-switching of the double active bridge converter is reviewed. Then, operation of the SAB converter is investigated with the end of assessing its soft-switching capabilities in both the discontinuous and continuous conduction mode.

Robust LMI-LQR Control for DAB Converters

2018 IEEE International Conference on Power Electronics, Drives and Energy Systems (PEDES), 2018
A consistent framework for robust linear quadratic regulators (LQRs) control of Dual-Active-Bridge Isolated-Bidirectional DC-DC (DAB-IBDC) converters is presented. The conventional LQR controllers are effective with respect to a certain performance index and have a good performance in stability.

Paralleling of dab converter using the gyrator theory

2014 IEEE 5th International Symposium on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation Systems (PEDG), 2014
This work presents mathematical analysis simulations and experimental results of the paralleling among DAB converters. The gyrator of technique was used to model the DAB converter and to determine a simple equivalent circuit. As the DAB converter is a natural gyrator, the paralleling is easy and the logic control is simplified.

Application of Random PWM Technology in DAB Converter

2018 IEEE International Power Electronics and Application Conference and Exposition (PEAC), 2018
For dual-active-bridge (DAB) DC/DC converter, when conventional pulse width modulation (PWM) is used, large harmonics are generated at the switching frequency and frequency multiplication, resulting in conductive electromagnetic interference (EMI). The random PWM technology can improve the electromagnetic compatibility of the system by dispersing the ...

Blocking-Cap-Based DAB Converters

2018
Blocking-cap-based dual active bridge (DAB) converter with wide voltage conversion gain is studied in this chapter. The DC blocking capacitor, which is used for avoiding the DC flux bias in the transformer of conventional DAB converter, is utilized to achieve better performance under wide voltage gain range.

Paralleling of DAB converter using the gyrator theory

2013 Brazilian Power Electronics Conference, 2013
This work presents mathematical analysis, simulations and experimental results of the parallel connection of DAB converters. The gyrator technique is used to model the DAB converter and to determine a simple equivalent circuit. As the DAB converter is a natural gyrator, the paralleling can be easily done, and the control logic is simplified.

Hybrid Control Strategy for DAB-LLC Sigma Converter

2021 IEEE 12th International Symposium on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation Systems (PEDG), 2021
DAB-LLC sigma converter has been an attractive topology, which combines the high efficiency of LLC and the high controllability of DAB. However, traditional PI controller manages output voltage/power by adjusting the phase shift angle of DAB and allows LLC to operate in an open loop mode, which leads to poor transient response.
