ESTIMATION OF DAILY AND LACTATION MILK YIELD FROM ALTERNATIVE MILK RECORDING SCHEME
Statistical methods were to developed and evaluated for the estimation of daily and 305-day lactation milk yield of dairy cattle from alternative milk recording scheme. Data included 7,815 individual test-day milk yield records collected according to the A4 milk recording method on 769 cows reared on 15 family farms.

An extended milking interval of 24 h (24-h milking interval (24h-MI)) constitutes the acute phase of cow adaptation to once-daily milking (ODM). A recent trial including 724 24h-MI challenges demonstrated that milk yield responses to this acute phase of ...

A genetic and economic evaluation of lactose in the New Zealand dairy industry : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Animal Science [PDF]
Milk composition in New Zealand is heavily influenced by the selection for Breeding Worth (BW) and the breed composition of the national herd. Under selection for BW a greater emphasis is placed upon protein (39% of emphasis) than fat yield (13% of ...

Dietary options to reduce the environmental impact of milk production [PDF]
A range of options was explored to test the hypothesis that diets for dairy cows could be formulated to reduce the carbon footprint (CFP) of feed, increase efficiency of conversion of potentially human-edible feed into milk, increase nitrogen use ...

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

CORRELATION BETWEEN UDDER CONFORMATION WITH DAILY MILK YIELD OF BUFFALOES
The study field was conducted to correlate milk yield with the udder dimensions of buffaloes, during lactate season 2019, a total of 72 lactating buffaloes (Bubalus bubalis) were chosen randomly from Baghdad (25 female) and Al-Muthanna province (47 female) (270km south of Baghdad).

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.

Population genetic structure and milk production traits in Girgentana goat breed [PDF]
The aim of this work was to evaluate the genetic status of the Girgentana goat, an endangered breed from Sicily (Italy), using microsatellite markers. Furthermore, as the main purpose of the Girgentana breed is milk production, quantitative milk traits ...
