Reconstruction for multi-wave imaging in attenuating media with large damping coefficient [PDF]
In this article we study the reconstruction problem in TAT/PAT on an attenuating media. Namely, we prove a reconstruction procedure of the initial condition for the damped wave equation via Neumann series that works for arbitrary large smooth attenuation coefficients extending the result of Homan in [1].

On the interaction of exponential non-viscous damping with symmetric nonlinearities [PDF]
This paper studies the interaction between non-viscous damping and nonlinearities for nonlinear oscillators with reflection symmetry. The non-viscous damping function is an exponential damping model which adds a decaying memory property to the damping ...

Parameter identification in a generalized time-harmonic Rayleigh damping model for elastography.
The identifiability of the two damping components of a Generalized Rayleigh Damping model is investigated through analysis of the continuum equilibrium equations as well as a simple spring-mass system.

Study on Dynamic Factors of Damped Beam Members Under Exponential Attenuation Loading
Blast loading is characterized as an impact loading with exponential attenuation, while damping serves as an intrinsic parameter that affects the vibration effect of beam members. The linear attenuation for simplified blast loading and undamped situation

A study of joint damping in metal plates [PDF]
For satellite applications the determination of the correct dynamic behaviour and in particular the structural damping is important to assess the vibration environment for the spacecraft subsystems and ultimately their capability to withstand the launch ...

PANoptosis in the pathogenesis of myelodysplastic syndromes
PANoptosis, a combination of three types of programmed cell death, is mediated by a large protein complex called a PANoptosome. In healthy bone marrow hematopoietic cells, PANoptosis is restricted by inhibitory signaling. In MDS, bone marrow cells become sensitive to the PANoptotic stimuli due to the aberrant inactivation of inhibitory signaling or ...

Transfer of thermal fluctuations through the building partition formed by periodic composite material [PDF]
The paper presents examples of thermal fluctuations imposed on the average physical field, which are intensively suppressed by a building partition formed of a periodic two-phase composite.

Pipe vibration attenuation through internal damping and optimal design of vibro-impact systems
AbstractPipelines periodically supported by rack structures (PPRs) are common in chemical and petrochemical plants, among others, and conventional tools such as dampers and hysteretic absorbers are commonly used to mitigate large vibrations in these systems. In this study, we explore two alternative strategies: (i) enhancing the attenuation rate of PPR

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...
