Effect of Intermittent Water Application from Trickle Source on The Water Movement and Moisture Distributionin Layered Soil

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2020
Efficient design of trickle irrigation system depends on the shape and volume of wetted soil, which are affected by many factors. Among these factors are water application rate, soil profile type, initial soil moisture, and continuous or intermittent ...

Morphological Variations of A Certain Tigris River Reach For Different Periods in Iraq

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2007
A morphological variations occurs in the paths of rivers due to many reasons such as the hydraulic changes in the natural flow regime of rivers in-addition to the human activities on rivers such as dams constructions on rivers.

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Cracking the Code: Genotype–Phenotype Correlation Models in Sarcoglycanopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Sarcoglycanopathies are among the most severe limb‐girdle muscular dystrophies (LGMD), though milder presentations have been described. These diseases are primarily caused by missense variants, but the limited predictability of their effect on protein maturation, complex formation, and transport has hindered reliable genotype ...

4D‐Printed Magneto‐Plasmonic Microrobots for Programmable Spatiotemporal De‐Icing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A 4D‐printing strategy is introduced to achieve programmable de‐icing devices. By aligning gold–magnetite nanofillers within a photosensitive resin, the printed structures exhibit dual magnetic and plasmonic functionalities, enabling precise spatio‐temporal ice removal through thermoplasmonic effects.

Estimating Seepage Quantity through Homogenous Earth-Fill Dam with Horizontal Drainage Using Different Methods

open access: yesZanco Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences, 2020
Seepage is the main cause of failure of earthen dams; to prevent this failure, excessive seepage problems should be controlled. In this study, lowest seepage quantity through homogenous earth dam with horizontal filter by different methods was estimated.

Hydrodynamic Simulation of Flood Due to Hypothetical Momentary Mosul Dam Failure

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2020
Flood wave simulation due to hypothetical momentary failure of Mosul Dam was carried out by applying the (IBER) hydrodynamic model for the dam storage scenarios (300, 310, 320, 330 and 335) meter above sea level after testing the validity and calibration
