Se describe e ilustra una especie nueva endémica de helecho de Costa Rica, Danaea tuomistoana A. Rojas (Marattiaceae), caracterizada porque las pinnas son incisas 2/5-1/2 entre la costa y el margen, y son cuneadas en la base.
