Chd4 and ThPOK cooperate to preserve structural and electrophysiological integrity of the adult heart through Sprr1a repression

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
Chd4/NuRD and ThPOK cooperate to maintain transcriptional repression and nuclear organization in adult cardiomyocytes. Chd4 loss reduces miR‐150‐5p, relieving repression of Sprr1a, while ThPOK loss further enhances Sprr1a activation, possibly through altered chromatin–lamina interactions.

Investigating Crack Resistance Behavior of Polypropylene Using J integral, J‐R Curve and Fractographic Analysis

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this study, the fracture response of polypropylene (PP) was assessed using J‐integral evaluation, J‐R curve construction, and fractography examination. J‐R and load–displacement curves were analyzed to determine critical loads and estimate J‐integral values based on standards established for polymer fracture testing, which led to the ...

Correlates of Mortal Distress Among Healthcare Staff in Hospitals: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Nursing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Mortal distress encompasses emotional, cognitive, physical and behavioural responses to death and dying among healthcare staff who frequently encounter mortality in hospital settings. Healthcare workers often experience heightened levels of mortal distress due to their regular exposure to patient deaths, which can negatively impact ...

Adapting a Navier-Stokes code to the ICL-DAP

open access: yes, 1985
The results of an experiment are reported, i.c., to adapt a Navier-Stokes code, originally developed on a serial computer, to concurrent processing on the CL Distributed Array Processor (DAP).

Impact of Curarization on Pentaspline Catheter Stability During Pulsed‐Field Pulmonary Vein Ablation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Pulsed field ablation (PFA) is effective for pulmonary vein isolation (PVI), but phrenic nerve stimulation during applications may induce diaphragmatic contractions and destabilize catheter positioning. This study evaluated whether neuromuscular blockade improves catheter stability.

Reconfigurable Neural Network Using DAP/DNA

open access: yes, 2004
In this paper, we want to find ways of realizing a neural network in DAP/DNA. As convenient platform for experiments the DAP/DNA were taken, which allows the change of hardware in one clock per application, flexibly and dynamically.
