Substrate Characterization of Mycobacterial Kinase PknG Revealing PknG‐KARS‐MAPK Phosphorylation Signaling Axis in Host

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
This study employed multi‐omics approaches to investigate the regulatory mechanism of Mycobacterium PknG on host cell processes. We found that host lysine‐tRNA ligase (KARS) is a potential substrate of PknG; and PknG can regulate the immune response by catalyzing the phosphorylation of KARS at T592 and T595 sites, affecting the phosphorylation level in

Probing earth-bound dark matter with nuclear reactors

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Strongly-interacting dark matter can be accumulated in large quantities inside the Earth, and for dark matter particles in a few GeV mass range, it can exist in large quantities near the Earth’s surface.

Measuring the self-interaction cross-section of dark matter with astronomical particle colliders [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The dark matter paradigm has been a great source of speculation in both the 20th and 21st Centuries. Since its proposed existence in 1933, the mounting evidence has led to this theoretical particle becoming one of the greatest mysteries of modern ...

Functionally complementary bacterial inoculant coordinates arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi to improve Angelica sinensis root yield and quality

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
Comprehensive understanding of how diverse PGPR strains enhance the rhizosphere microenvironment remains a considerable challenge. Here, we provide experimental evidence that a functionally synergistic composite microbial formulation can markedly enhance growth performance and improve the quality attributes in Angelica sinensis.

A Novel Air‐Liquid Interface Exposure System for Continuous Gas Exposure of Airway Epithelial Cells: Exposure of NO2 With Viral Co‐Challenge

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Most in vitro toxicological research investigating the effects of inhaled compounds employ short‐term exposures of a couple of hours, or repeated, intermittent exposures for a limited number of days with exposure free periods, whereas in reality, we are continuously exposed, albeit to variable concentrations.

Interplay of inert doublet and vector-like lepton triplet with displaced vertices at the LHC/FCC and MATHUSLA

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the interaction between the inert Higgs doublet (IDM) dark matter and a vector-like SU(2) triplet lepton (VLL), both of which are Z 2-odd. The vector current of the VLL with the Z-boson rules out a fermionic or two-component dark matter scenario.

Avoiding Moral Divergence: A Self‐Verification Perspective on Why and When Team Ethical Conflict Inhibits Individual Ethical Voice

open access: yesJournal of Organizational Behavior, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although contextual factors have been shown to facilitate ethical voice, research on team‐level antecedents that may inhibit it has been limited. Drawing on self‐verification theory, we develop a multilevel moderation–mediation model that examines how team ethical conflict inhibits individual ethical voice. Ethical self‐verification perception
