Alteration of Postural Reactions in Rats with Different Levels of Dopamine Depletion

open access: yesBiomedicines, 2023
Dopamine (DA) is the critical neurotransmitter involved in the unconscious control of muscle tone and body posture. We evaluated the general motor capacities and muscle responses to postural disturbance in three conditions: normal DA level (wild-type ...

A new “sudden fright paradigm” to explore the role of (epi)genetic modulations of the DAT gene in fear‐induced avoidance behavior

open access: yesGenes, Brain and Behavior, 2020
Alterations in dopamine (DA) reuptake are involved in several psychiatric disorders whose symptoms can be investigated in knock out rats for the DA transporter (DAT‐KO).

Gut Microbiota‐Derived Anandamide Mediates the Therapeutic Effects of Urolithin A on Alcohol‐Induced Cognitive and Social Dysfunction via CB1R‐DRD2‐RAP1 Signaling Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that Urolithin A (UA) counteracts alcohol‐induced cognitive and social dysfunction (AICSD) via a gut microbiome‐dependent mechanism. UA‐enriched Bacteroids sartorii and Parabacteroids distasonis elevate anandamide (AEA), which activates the CB1R‐DRD2‐Rap1 signaling cascade to drive synaptic repair and reduce neuroinflammation ...

Rats Lacking Dopamine Transporter Display Increased Vulnerability and Aberrant Autonomic Response to Acute Stress

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2020
The activity of the hypothalamus–pituitary–adrenal (HPA) axis is pivotal in homeostasis and presides the adaptative response to stress. Dopamine Transporter (DAT) plays a key role in the regulation of the HPA axis. We used young adult female DAT Knockout

A Trypsin‐Like Serine Protease ZmNAL1a Fine‐Tunes Maize Floral Transition and Flowering Time

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies a trypsin‐like serine protease, ZmNAL1a, that moves from leaves to the shoot apical meristem. ZmNAL1a promotes the floral transition by degrading TOPLESS‐like corepressor REL2, which thereby enhances the expression of key flowering genes through elevating histone acetylation and relieving REL2–ZmEREBP147‐mediated transcriptional ...

Redox‐aktivierte Sonden für Hochkontrastige Live‐Bildgebung Postsynaptischer Neuronaler Gerüste

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.

Experiences of disrespect and abuse during childbirth in the World Health Organization European region: A mixed‐method study among 22 countries

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Despite advancements in maternity quality care worldwide, mistreatment of women during childbirth persists. Currently, there is a gap of knowledge on the occurrence of disrespect and abuse during childbirth in the World Health Organization (WHO) European region.

Genetic loss of the dopamine transporter significantly impacts behavioral and molecular responses to sub-chronic stress in mice

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Neuroscience
Dopaminergic neurotransmission has emerged as a critical determinant of stress susceptibility and resilience. Although the dopamine transporter (DAT) is known to play a key role in maintaining dopamine (DA) homeostasis, its importance for the regulation ...
