Exploring GPCR signaling pathway networks as cancer therapeutic targets

open access: yesCell Genomics
GPCR signaling can contribute to establishing the tumor microenvironment and influence the progression and metabolism of tumors. Arora et al.1 describe a systems-level approach to investigate the patterns of co-expression of GPCR signaling pathway ...

Data Driven Design for PSS (Product Re-design Based on Previous Knowledge)

open access: yes
The use of data-driven techniques can support the trade-off between different PSS design concepts by allowing dynamic indexing and retrieval of information to detect correlations and emerging trends. The chapter presents a data-driven approach exploiting

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

An algorithm for closed-loop data-driven simulation

open access: yes
Closed-loop data-driven simulation refers to the problem of constructing trajectories of a closed-loop system directly from data of the plant and a representation of the controller.

From Model-based to Data-driven LMI-based Controller Synthesis [PDF]

open access: yes
openThis thesis uses Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) to transition from model-based to data-driven control design, while preserving guarantees with regard to stability and performance of the resulting closed-loop system.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
