RAD50 missense variants differentially affect the DNA damage response and mitotic progression
RAD50 incorporates into the MRN complex and initiates the DNA damage response. Furthermore, RAD50 promotes mitotic progression. RAD50 missense variants capable of forming an MRN complex supported the DNA damage response and mitotic features to different extents in complementation experiments, indicating these functions are separable and might impact ...

This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

The pan‐HDAC inhibitor belinostat increases the expression of the pro‐apoptotic proteins Bim, Puma, and Noxa and induces apoptosis in ovarian cancer cell lines and patient‐derived tumor organoids when used at high concentrations. Moreover, inhibiting the anti‐apoptotic proteins Bcl‐xL or Mcl‐1 sensitizes these preclinical models to the cytotoxic effect

Analyses of the Instabilities in the Discretized Diffusion Equations via Information Theory
In a previous investigation (Bigerelle and Iost, 2004), the authors have proposed a physical interpretation of the instability λ = Δt/Δx2 > 1/2 of the parabolic partial differential equations when solved by finite differences.

New scan compression approach to reduce the test data volume
The test data volume (TDV) increases with increased target compression in scan compression and adds to the test cost. Increased TDV is the result of a dependency across scan flip‐flops (SFFs) that resulted from compression architecture, which is absent ...

In patients treated with atezolizumab as a part of the MyPathway (NCT02091141) trial, pre‐treatment ctDNA tumor fraction at high levels was associated with poor outcomes (radiographic response, progression‐free survival, and overall survival) but better sensitivity for blood tumor mutational burden (bTMB).

A Self-Adaptive Compression Method for Ship Trajectories without Threshold Setting
Addressing the shortcomings of existing ship trajectory compression methods that rely on the empirical setting of a fixed threshold and face challenges in controlling the spatial similarity before and after compression, this paper proposes a self ...

LiftingWiSe: A Lifting-Based Efficient Data Processing Technique in Wireless Sensor Networks
Monitoring thousands of objects which are deployed over large-hard-to-reach areas, is an important application of the wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Such an application requires disseminating a large amount of data within the WSN.

Capturing Regular Human Activity through a Learning Context Memory [PDF]
A learning context memory consisting of two main parts is presented. The first part performs lossy data compression, keeping the amount of stored data at a minimum by combining similar context attributes — the compression rate for the presented GPS ...
