Data Estimation and Interpretation: An Analysis. [PDF]

open access: yes
There is an ostensible relationship between whether or not a nation is developed and the interpretation and collection of data in this nation. For instance, if a country is developing, it is difficult to collect figures, though much simpler to interpret ...

Comparing self‐reported race and genetic ancestry for identifying potential differentially methylated sites in endometrial cancer: insights from African ancestry proportions using machine learning models

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Integrating ancestry, differential methylation analysis, and machine learning, we identified robust epigenetic signature genes (ESGs) and Core‐ESGs in Black and White women with endometrial cancer. Core‐ESGs (namely APOBEC1 and PLEKHG5) methylation levels were significantly associated with survival, with tumors from high African ancestry (THA) showing ...

Interpretation of data on pesticide residues in surface water in France, by grouping data within homogeneous spatial units

open access: yesKnowledge and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems, 2011
In France, the SOeS⋆ manages a database which contains more than eight million analyses of pesticide concentrations in surface water. In order to interpret these analyses better, we tested methods based on a geographic grouping

Strengthening pharmacy practice: Development and validation of the Resilience Scale [PDF]

open access: yesVojnosanitetski Pregled
Background/Aim. Despite the demanding nature of their roles in community pharmacies and their critical importance to patient safety, healthcare professionals, including pharmacists, are often not covered by the Resilience Scale. Therefore, the aim of the

The transcription of interpreting data

open access: yesInterpreting. International Journal of Research and Practice in Interpreting, 2012
The growing interest in studies based on samples of authentic interpreting data goes hand in hand with the need to think of adequate methodologies to make such data available for research. During the 1980s, transcription issues posed a series of theoretical questions which may now be worth revisiting in the light of recent debates in Interpreting ...

Multi‐omic characterization of consensus molecular subtype 1 (CMS1) colorectal cancer with dampened immune response improves precision medicine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study highlights the importance of multi‐omic analyses in characterizing colorectal cancers. Indeed, our analysis revealed a rare CMS1 exhibiting dampened immune activation, including reduced PD‐1 expression, moderate CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, and suppressed JAK/STAT pathway.

Expressing the tacit knowledge of a digital library system as linked data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Library organizations have enthusiastically undertaken semantic web initiatives and in particular the data publishing as linked data. Nevertheless, different surveys report the experimental nature of initiatives and the consumer difficulty in re-using ...

Chemoresistome mapping in individual breast cancer patients unravels diversity in dynamic transcriptional adaptation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study used longitudinal transcriptomics and gene‐pattern classification to uncover patient‐specific mechanisms of chemotherapy resistance in breast cancer. Findings reveal preexisting drug‐tolerant states in primary tumors and diverse gene rewiring patterns across patients, converging on a few dysregulated functional modules. Despite receiving the

Tonic signaling of the B‐cell antigen‐specific receptor is a common functional hallmark in chronic lymphocytic leukemia cell phosphoproteomes at early disease stages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Simulation of triacylglycerol ion profiles: bioinformatics for interpretation of triacylglycerol biosynthesis[S]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2013
Although the synthesis pathways of intracellular triacylglycerol (TAG) species have been well elucidated, assessment of the contribution of an individual pathway to TAG pools in different mammalian organs, particularly under pathophysiological conditions,
