Semantic Core for Sensor Telemetry Ingestion for Digital Twins

open access: yesSmart Cities
Digital twin platforms for smart cities must continuously receive different types of data from sensors, gateways, and services, but in real situations these data are heterogeneous in terms of indicator names, measurement units, time rules, and object ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Correction of scaling mismatches in oligonucleotide microarray data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Background: Gene expression microarray data is notoriously subject to high signal variability. Moreover, unavoidable variation in the concentration of transcripts applied to microarrays may result in poor scaling of the summarized data which can hamper ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
