The influence of power and frequency on the filamentary behavior of a flowing DBD-application to the splitting of CO2

open access: yes, 2016
In this experimental study, a flowing dielectric barrier discharge operating at atmospheric pressure is used for the splitting of CO2 into O2 and CO. The influence of the applied frequency and plasma power on the microdischarge properties is investigated

Children's psychological traits and educational performance: How schools and residential areas moderate how individual traits translate into academic outcomes

open access: yesJCPP Advances, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The extent to which children's psychological traits influence their educational performance is thought to depend on the fit between the individual and their developmental context. However, this assumption has yet to be empirically tested on a population scale.

Non-Thermal Dielectric Barrier Discharge (DBD) Effects on Proliferation and Differentiation of Human Fibroblasts Are Primary Mediated by Hydrogen Peroxide.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
The proliferation of fibroblasts and myofibroblast differentiation are crucial in wound healing and wound closure. Impaired wound healing is often correlated with chronic bacterial contamination of the wound area.

Conventional Cardiac Surgery in Donation After Circulatory Death Heart Transplantation: A United Network for Organ Sharing Registry Analysis. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Transplant
ABSTRACT Objective This study evaluates outcomes following donation after circulatory death (DCD) heart transplantation among recipients with prior conventional cardiac surgery. Methods The UNOS registry was queried to analyze adult recipients who underwent DCD heart transplantation between 1/1/2019 and 3/31/2024. Patients with durable left ventricular

Normothermic Machine Perfusion vs. Static Cold Storage for DBD Liver Transplantation in High‐MELD Recipients: A Single‐Center Retrospective Study

open access: yesJournal of Hepato-Biliary-Pancreatic Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose While normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) has benefits over static cold storage (SCS), its efficacy in high‐acuity recipients with high Model for End‐Stage Liver Disease (MELD) scores, particularly using a back‐to‐base application model, is not well established.

Penyuluhan DBD dan Pembuatan Lilin Lavender dari Minyak Jelantah untuk Pencegahan DBD

open access: yesJurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat Bangsa

Are the detection and dimensions of peri‐implant buccal bone defects influenced by different implant materials and their location? An experimental cone‐beam computed tomography study

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The aim of this study is to evaluate the impact of different implant materials and arrangements within the field of view (FOV) and exomass on the diagnostic accuracy and image quality of cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT) for the detection of peri‐implant buccal bone defects of various sizes. Methods A total of 120 CBCT scans with

Defect Passivation via Plasma Modification of Lead Halide Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that exposure of perovskite thin films to diffuse coplanar surface barrier discharge nitrogen plasma leads to an increase in photoluminescence, attributed to reduced defect densities. This results in implied open‐circuit voltage improvement of up to 80 mV and finalized solar cell open‐circuit gains up to 60 mV.
