The gold standard for detecting sentinel lymph node (SLN) in early breast cancer is combined use of radioisotope and blue dye. A newer agent, superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO), was developed to address the challenges faced with the traditional method.

Identifying a Thunderstorm's First Lightning Flash From the GOES‐R GLM

Abstract The first lightning flash within a developing thunderstorm (“first flash”) is separated spatially and temporally from nearby thunderstorms with previously recorded lightning flashes, and can indicate that deep, moist convection with a robust updraft has initiated.
