Organotypic microfluidic breast cancer model reveals starvation-induced spatial-temporal metabolic adaptationsResearch in context

open access: yesEBioMedicine, 2018
Background: Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) is the earliest stage of breast cancer. During DCIS, tumor cells remain inside the mammary duct, growing under a microenvironment characterized by hypoxia, nutrient starvation, and waste product accumulation ...

Validation of the Milan Score Using Prolonged Wireless PH Monitoring

open access: yesAlimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, Volume 64, Issue 2, Page 177-185, July 2026.
The Milan Score, a high‐resolution manometry‐derived tool, predicts pathological GERD on 96‐h wireless pH monitoring with high specificity and positive predictive value, maintaining robust discriminative performance across both typical and atypical symptom profiles and outperforming single HRM parameters as a standalone manometric parameter.
