Weakly‐Coordinating Non‐Fluorinated Diluents for Local High‐Concentration Electrolytes in Advanced Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective critically evaluates non‐fluorinated diluents in local high‐concentration electrolytes, categorizing their solvation behavior, interfacial mechanisms, and sustainability potential to guide future electrolyte design for lithium metal batteries.

Deep chlorophyll a maxima (DCMs) in pelagic Antarctic waters. II. Relation to bathymetric features and dissolved iron concentrations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
A deep chlorophyll a maximum (DCM) at depths between 60 and 90 m in waters south of the Antarctic Polar Front (APF) occurs only in pelagic waters where the chlorophyll a concentrations in the upper mixed layer (UML) are very low (generally

Structure and Oxidation Resistance of Mo-Y-Zr-Si-B Coatings Deposited by DCMS and HIPIMS Methods Using Mosaic Targets

open access: yes, 2023
In this study, Mo-(Y,Zr)-Si-B coatings were obtained by direct current magnetron sputtering (DCMS) and high-power impulse magnetron sputtering (HIPIMS) using mosaic targets. The results showed that the addition of Y and Zr into the composition of Mo-Si-B

Super‐Resolution Ultrasound Based Cell Tracking With Polymeric Nanobubbles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a super‐resolution ultrasound platform for tracking cells in vivo. Biocompatible polymeric nanobubbles are used as highly echogenic intracellular labels. Following the injection of cells and microbubbles, ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) can dynamically match the microvascular architecture and individual cell trajectories ...

An electrophysiological validation of stochastic DCM for fMRI [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Computational Neuroscience, 2013
In this note, we assess the predictive validity of stochastic dynamic causal modeling (sDCM) of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data, in terms of its ability to explain changes in the frequency spectrum of concurrently acquired electroencephalography (EEG) signal. We first revisit the heuristic model proposed in Kilner et al. (2005), which

A Dual‐Bioresponsive and Programmable Microneedle Matrix as a Bioinspired Coupler for Orchestrating Diabetic Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This project developed a smart bandage‐like patch (a microneedle array) for repairing diabetic bone damage. It intelligently senses signals from infection and inflammation, then releases its medicines in a specific, timed sequence: first an antibacterial agent, then an anti‐inflammatory agent, and finally growth factors.

Introducing a Dental Caries Marking Software and Evaluate Radiologists’ Disagreement in Caries Detection Using this Software

open access: yesJournal of Dental Biomaterial, 2015
Statement of Problem: Bitewing radiograph is the main reference for diagnosis of proximal and recurrent caries. There is no software for gathering and analyzing radiologists’ opinion in the field of caries detection on digital bitewing radiograph (DBR)

Preliminary exploratory analysis of the VCSE barometer survey data: briefing paper for DCMS

open access: yes, 2021
This note responds to research questions identified in recent dialogue between NTU researchers and policy advisors and analysts at DCMS. Specifically, it addresses the relationship between funding structure and organisational resilience.

Dense and hard TiWC protective coatings grown with tungsten ion irradiation using WC-HiPIMS/TiC-DCMS co-sputtering technique without external heating

open access: yes, 2023
Titanium tungsten carbide (TiWC) coatings are deposited by a combined high-power impulse and dc magnetron co-sputtering (HiPIMS/DCMS) technique. No external heating is applied during deposition phase, instead, the thermally driven adatom mobility is ...

Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.
