Lysine Requirements in Starter‐Phase Japanese Quail (Coturnix japonica) Through Dose–Response Modelling: Interactions With Dietary Protein Level

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 6, November 2026.
In starter Japanese quail, optimal lysine requirements (1.32%–1.42%) depend on dietary crude protein level. Supplementation at 1.4% maximizes body weight gain, protein efficiency, and breast yield, while oversupply (1.55%) impairs performance. Linear broken‐line modelling provides the most reliable requirement estimates for precision feeding.

Growth, Carcass Quality and Gut Microbiota Responses to Extruded Rapeseed Meal With Protease in Broiler Chickens

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 6, November 2026.
The 5%–7.5% extruded rapeseed meal improved broiler growth, nutrient digestibility, carcass traits, intestinal morphology and gut microbial balance. ABSTRACT Background Soybean meal (SBM) is a major protein source in broiler diets, but its cost and dependence on a limited number of protein sources have increased interest in alternative feed ingredients.

Exploring Toothbrushing Duration Among Adults: A Systematic Review

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dental Hygiene, Volume 24, Issue 4, Page 691-701, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim There is a need for greater understanding of the average brushing time among individuals. Since the average brushing time remains unclear, this study involves a systematic review to assess this aspect of oral hygiene practices and how it has evolved over the years. Material and Methods The PubMed‐MEDLINE and Cochrane‐CENTRAL databases were

NR4A1‐Driven Granulosa Cell Ferroptosis Contributes to Obesity‐Related Ovarian Dysfunction and Metformin‐Mediated Ovarian Protection

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 19, 15 October 2026.
Schematic illustrating that NR4A1‐driven granulosa cell ferroptosis mediates obesity‐related ovarian dysfunction, while metformin‐mediated ovarian protection is achieved via suppression of the PI3K/AKT–NR4A1 ferroptotic signaling cascade. ABSTRACT Obesity triggers ovarian dysfunction and female infertility accompanied by granulosa cell damage ...

D–A Type Perylene Micelles With Synergistic Charge/Energy Transfer for Dual‐Path ROS Generation and Enhanced Photocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 55, 5 October 2026.
Dual‐state activation of singlet and triplet excitons is achieved in perylene‐based nanomicelles via donor engineering. By synergistically pairing charge transfer with energy transfer pathways, while concurrently enabling pollutant pre‐enrichment, this strategy establishes spatial coupling between efficient ROS generation and rapid mineralization ...

Morphometrics and Mitochondrial (COI‐Based) Molecular Barcoding of Diptychus maculatus Steindachner, 1866, Snow Trout from the Trans‐Himalayan Region of Ladakh, India

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 6, Issue 5, October 2026.
ABSTRACT The present study integrates morphometric analysis, length–weight relationship (LWR), condition factor, and mitochondrial COI‐based molecular barcoding to elucidate the biological characteristics of Diptychus maculatus and confirm species identity, respectively, from the Trans‐Himalayan region of Ladakh, India.

Potential Benefit of Ruxolitinib in Suspected Ocular and Neurological Transplant‐Associated Thrombotic Microangiopathy After Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplantation: A Case Report and Review

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT We describe a rare case of suspected delayed‐onset TA‐TMA with ocular and neurological involvement following allo‐HSCT. The condition was refractory to standard therapies; neurological improvement was temporally associated with ruxolitinib initiation, suggesting a possible GVHD overlap.
