Design of a digital NHit trigger circuit for nuclear and particle physics experiment

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong, 2023
In nuclear and particle physics experiments, due to the influence of the experimental background and detector noise, the experiment needs to pick out valid physical events by the trigger selection, and eliminate the background noise.

Risks from low dose/dose rate radiation: what an understanding of DNA damage response mechanisms can tell us [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The DNA damage response (DDR) mechanisms represent a vital line of defense against exogenous and endogenous DNA damage to enhance two distinct outcomes, survival and the maintenance of genomic stability. The latter is critical for cancer avoidance.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

Dependence of the Sheet Resistivity and Current Noise Behaviour of the Grain Size and Volume Fraction of Conducting Material in Thick-Film Resistors Experiments

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 1988
Experimental results concerning the dependence of the sheet resistivity and the noise coefficient on the grain size and the volume fraction, respectively, of the metallic-like component in Bi2Ru2O7-based thick-film resistors are presented.

“Perché proprio Napoleone?”: Neue Lebensansichten eines Katers come prima riscrittura femminista nell’opera di Christa Wolf

open access: yesLea, 2023

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.
