Comparative Insights on Vehicles' Deceleration Measurements

open access: yesTehnički Glasnik
This paper investigates the possibilities of measuring vehicle deceleration using modern devices based on GPS (Global Positioning System) and MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) technologies, with the aim of replacing traditional inertial devices. The

Driver safety in relation to the post–accident vehicle reparation [PDF]

open access: yesTransport Problems, 2012
The paper presents the basic criteria for estimation of the post-accident reparation of a vehicle body. The article made reference to deceleration during an impact, to deformation of the vehicle body (as a result of a collision) and to the coefficient of

Slow Down! Digital Deceleration Towards A Socialist Social Media

open access: yestripleC: Communication, Capitalism & Critique, 2020
Hartmut Rosa argues that three systems of social acceleration (technical acceleration, the acceleration of social change and the acceleration of the pace of life) have emerged as fundamental to the human experience of late modernity.

Deceleration observed in the coronal mass ejection event of July 25, 1999 [PDF]

open access: yesGeofísica Internacional, 2004
We present height-time diagrams of the halo coronal mass ejection observed on July 25th (1999) from the Large Angle and Spectroscopic Coronagraph (LASCO), on board of the Solar and Heliopheric Observatory (SOHO) able to observe the solar corona from 2 to

Front propagation in a double degenerate equation with delay

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2023
The current article is concerned with the traveling fronts for a class of double degenerate equations with delay. We first show that the traveling fronts decay algebraically at one end, while those may decay exponentially or algebraically at the other ...

Carcinomas and Carcinoid Tumors of the Lungs and Bronchi in Children and Adolescents: The EXPeRT Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary lung carcinomas and bronchial carcinoid tumors (BC) are very rare malignancies in childhood. While typical BC and mucoepidermoid carcinomas are mostly low‐grade, localized tumors with a more favorable prognosis than in adults, necessitating avoidance of overtreatment, adenocarcinomas of the lung are often diagnosed at advanced disease ...

Monitoring of Selected Physical and Chemical Parameters of Test Oil in the Wet Disc Brake System

open access: yesActa Technologica Agriculturae, 2020
Paper presented is focused on the operating measurements of a tractor wet disc brake system. Operating measurements were evaluated after tractor’s operation at 500 Mth on the 3rd, 4th and 5th gear.

Deceleration in the Expansion of SN 1993J [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Astronomical Union Colloquium, 1997
AbstractWith new 6 cm observations we confirm the self-similar expansion of SN 1993J previously discovered at 3.6 cm and estimate the expansion deceleration parameter. The results are inconsistent with the existence of a constant pre-explosion stellar wind but otherwise confirm the standard radio supernova model.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

JET PROPAGATION AND DECELERATION [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics: Conference Series, 2014
Extragalactic jets in active galactic nuclei (AGN) are divided into two morphological types, namely Fanaroff-Riley I (FRI) and Fanaroff-Riley II (FRII). The former show decollimated structure at the kiloparsec scales and are thought to be decelerated by entrainment within the first kiloparsecs of evolution inside the host galaxy.
