A framework for decentralized access control

Proceedings of the 2nd ACM symposium on Information, computer and communications security, 2007
We present a framework for decentralized authorization for physical access control, using smart cards, where access to individual rooms is guarded by context-dependent policies that are dynamically evaluated. Policies are specified using a logical language parameterized by events.

Decentralized hybrid intersection control

Proceedings of the 40th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (Cat. No.01CH37228), 2002
A decentralized hybrid traffic intersection control for urban areas is presented. First, an isolated intersection control problem is analyzed. Based on the different traffic conditions in an isolated intersection, a simple hybrid controller is proposed.

Decentralized Control and Decentralized Adaptive Control

2006
Abstract : As systems become complex with many interconnected subsystems, decentralized control becomes essential. When certain parameters of the system are unknown, and/or when subsystems are not aware of the signals from other subsystems that affect their behavior, we need decentralized adaptive control.

Sequential design of decentralized controllers

Automatica, 1994
Abstract A procedure for sequential design of decentralized controllers for linear systems is presented. It is shown how to include a simple estimate of the effect of closing subsequent loops into the design problem for the loop which is to be closed.

Decentralized adaptive control of manipulators

Journal of Robotic Systems, 1994
AbstractThis article presents two new adaptive schemes for motion control of robot manipulators. The first controller possesses a partially decentralized structure in which the control input for each task variable is computed based on information concerning only that variable and on two “scaling factors” that depend on the other task variables.

Performance limitations in decentralized control

Journal of Process Control, 2000
Abstract In decentralized control of multivariable systems, the system is decomposed into a number of subsystems and individual controllers are designed for each subsystem. Advantages of such decomposition include reduced modelling requirements and ease of implementation.

Adaptive Decentralized Control.

1984
Abstract : This Final Report summarizes the results of a research effort directed towards the development of adaptive decentralized control systems. The adaptive controller in such a system must operate in the presence of unmodeled dynamics. An input-output approach was developed for analyzing the global stability and robustness properties of adaptive ...

ON DECENTRALIZED OBSERVATION AND DECENTRALIZED CONTROL OF LARGE SCALE SYSTEMS

Acta Mathematica Scientia, 1991
Given a linear large scale system \(\dot x=Ax+Bu\), \(y=Cx\), where the \(n\)- dimensional state vector is composed of \(p\) subvectors \(x_ 1,\dots,x_ p\), and the inputs \(u\) and outputs \(y\) decompose accordingly the problem of decentralized feedback stabilization with a decentralized observer is posed and solved in terms of stabilizability and ...

Decentralized control: Status and outlook

Annual Reviews in Control, 2014
This paper reviews state of the art in the area of decentralized networked control systems with an emphasis on event-triggered approach. The models or agents with the dynamics of linear continuous-time time-invariant state-space systems are considered. They serve for the framework for network phenomena within two basic structures.
