LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Performance evaluation of efficient combinational logic design using nanomaterial electronics

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2017
Scaling down trend of CMOS transistor is approaching its lowest point, the rational substitute for the CMOS technology to attain advance improvements in terms of size, low power, and device density usage is an imperative essential.

Neural-Network-Assisted Polar Code Decoding Schemes

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
The traditional fast successive-cancellation (SC) decoding algorithm can effectively reduce the decoding steps, but the decoding adopts a sub-optimal algorithm, so it cannot improve the bit error performance. In order to improve the bit error performance

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

SPADE: Superpixel Adjacency Driven Embedding for Three-Class Melanoma Segmentation

open access: yesAlgorithms
The accurate segmentation of pigmented skin lesions is a critical prerequisite for reliable melanoma detection, yet approximately 30% of lesions exhibit fuzzy or poorly defined borders.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Algorithmization and Hardware Implementation of Polar Coding for 5G Telecommunications

open access: yesTransport and Telecommunication
The article explores a recursive algorithm for determining Bhattacharyya parameters, which is a measure of the degree of channel polarization for telecommunications with polar coding.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Overview of molecular signatures of senescence and associated resources: pros and cons

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Cells can enter a stress response state termed cellular senescence that is involved in various diseases and aging. Detecting these cells is challenging due to the lack of universal biomarkers. This review presents the current state of senescence identification, from biomarkers to molecular signatures, compares tools and approaches, and highlights ...
