Improved Power Decoding of One-Point Hermitian Codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We propose a new partial decoding algorithm for one-point Hermitian codes that can decode up to the same number of errors as the Guruswami--Sudan decoder. Simulations suggest that it has a similar failure probability as the latter one.

Enhanced Feedback Iterative Decoding of Sparse Quantum Codes

open access: yes, 2011
Decoding sparse quantum codes can be accomplished by syndrome-based decoding using a belief propagation (BP) algorithm. We significantly improve this decoding scheme by developing a new feedback adjustment strategy for the standard BP algorithm.

SSCANL decoder based joint iterative detection and decoding algorithm

open access: yesDianxin kexue, 2022
In order to improve the receiver performance of the sparse code multiple access (SCMA) system based on polar codes, the cyclic redundancy check (CRC) aided joint iterative detection and decoding receiver scheme based on simplify soft cancellation list (SSCANL) decoder (C-JIDD-SSCANL) was proposed.A polar code decoder in the C-JIDD-SSCANL receiver used ...

Butterfly Log-MAP decoding algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Communications and Networks, 2004
In this paper, a butterfly Log-MAP decoding algorithm for turbo code is proposed. Different from the conventional turbo decoder, we derived a generalized formula to calculate the log-likelihood ratio (LLR) and drew a modified butterfly states diagram in 8-states systematic turbo coded system. By comparing the complexity of conventional implementations,

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

An Improved Majority-Logic Decoder Offering Massively Parallel Decoding for Real-Time Control in Embedded Systems

open access: yes, 2013
We propose an easy-to-implement hard-decision majority-logic decoding algorithm for Reed-Muller codes RM(r,m) with m >= 3, m/2 >= r >= 1. The presented algorithm outperforms the best known majority-logic decoding algorithms and offers highly parallel ...

Chemically Doped Conductive Polymers for Wearable Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Among conductive polymers, poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS), polyaniline (PANI), and polypyrrole (PPy) are the most studied and applied. Chemical doping significantly boosts intrinsic conductivity and mechanical robustness.

On the Multiple Threshold Decoding of LDPC codes over GF(q)

open access: yes, 2015
We consider the decoding of LDPC codes over GF(q) with the low-complexity majority algorithm from [1]. A modification of this algorithm with multiple thresholds is suggested.

Adaptive Reliability-Driven Conditional Innovation Decoding for LDPC Codes

open access: yesIEEE Access
In this work, we present an adaptive reliability-driven conditional innovation (AR-CID) decoding algorithm for low-density parity check (LDPC) codes. The proposed AR-CID decoding algorithm consists of one stage of message quality checking and another ...
