β‐Elemene Rescues Radiation‐Induced Enteritis by Orchestrating a Host‐Microbiome Circuit That Fuels Epigenetic DNA Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study elucidates that β‐elemene promotes cellular uptake of L. gasseri‐derived lactate by enhancing the membrane translocation of MCT1 in a CD147‐dependent manner. Intracellular lactate, through the lactylation of RBBP4 at the K26 site, recruits EP300 to the promoter regions of downstream genes (POLD1/POLD3), catalyzing H3K27ac modification.

Enhancing Maturation of Human Neuromuscular Organoids via Electrical Stimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A framework for on‐demand and non‐invasive exposure of human neuromuscular organoids (NMOs) to electrical stimuli is established to promote their maturation. The robustness and effectiveness of different stimulation regimes are evaluated via thorough characterization of organoid tissue structure and contraction capacity. Chronic electrical stimulation,

An Approach for Performance Analysis of ETSI ITS-G5A MAC for Safety Applications

open access: yes, 2010
ETSI ITS-G5 is the current vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology in Europe, which will be standardized by ETSI TC ITS. It is based on IEEE 802.11p and therefore uses a CSMA/CA scheme for media access control (MAC).

Amuc_1473 Links Gut Microbes to Skeletal Homeostasis and Counteracts Multifactorial Osteoporosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Amuc_1473, a previously uncharacterized protein enriched in Akkermansia muciniphila‐derived extracellular vesicles, is identified as a gut–bone messenger that promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis by engaging transcriptional and translational regulators in bone cells.

Design of Dedicated Short-Range Communication Transceiver

open access: yes, 2007
In this thesis, a short-range communication system is designed in 2.43 GHz ISM band. It includes LNA, mixer, and LO.

Adaptive rate control of dedicated short range communications based vehicle networks for road safety applications

open access: yes, 2011
Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) is a promising technique for vehicle ad-hoc network (VANET) and collaborative road safety applications. As road safety applications require strict quality of services (QoS) from the VANET, it is crucial for DSRC

Multimodal Imaging Reveals Rapid Catecholamine Uptake and Release by Neutrophils

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We show that immune cells (neutrophils) synthesize, uptake, and store catecholamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine or adrenaline. They also release them in response to specific stimuli (serotonin), which we directly visualize using fluorescent nanosensors. We further demonstrate that catecholamines affect neutrophil functions (NETosis) and platelet

Security Evaluation of a Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) Application

open access: yes, 2020
Applications using dedicated short-range communication (DSRC) are being developed to prevent automobile accidents. Many DSRC implementations, applications and network stacks are not mature. They have not been adequately tested and verified.
