Development of Taenia saginata asiatica metacestodes in SCID mice and its infectivity in human and alternative definitive hosts [PDF]
Development of Taenia saginata asiatica metacestodes in SCID mice, and its infectivity in humans, golden hamsters, and Mongolian gerbils as alternative definitive hosts, were investigated. Cysticerci were recovered from SCID mice that were subcutaneously

This study explores the discrepancies between bulk mechanics and spatial mapping in a tissue‐mimetic hydrogel model. Microplastic particles create localized stiff mechanical microenvironments that are detectable by cellular‐scale nanoindentation but leave bulk properties unchanged as measured by rheology.

A dynamically actuated reconfigurable topographical surface (DARTS) integrates contact‐mediated bactericidal nanotopography with programmable mechanical actuation to actively disrupt bacterial biofilms. Dynamic surface reconfiguration enhances bacterial killing and suppresses implant‐associated infections in vivo, providing a new strategy for active ...

A mechanically programmable hydrogel for tissue engineering is developed by modulating the molecular threading density of poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate‐β‐cyclodextrin (PEGDA‐β‐CD) polyrotaxane and combining it with β‐CD‐modified gelatin. The polyrotaxane‐guided transition from disordered pores to laminar microstructures enables precise tuning ...
