Molecular Orientation and Structure Formation of BOPHY Chromophores in Langmuir Films: A Combined Experimental and Theoretical Study

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
The orientation and organization of an amphiphilic BOPHY dye in Langmuir monolayers are investigated using in situ XRR, GIXD, and MD simulations. Two condensed phases are identified: alkyl chains govern packing density, while chromophores remain locally ordered.

Femtosecond Laser‐Engineered Molds for Long‐Term Stable Superhydrophobic Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) Surfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
A femtosecond laser‐based strategy enables rapid and reproducible fabrication of aluminum molds for Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) replication. By tuning laser parameters, PDMS surface morphology and wettability are precisely controlled, achieving superhydrophobicity under optimized conditions.

Effect of Stack Pressure on the Microstructure and Ionic Conductivity of the Slurry‐Processed Solid Electrolyte Li7SiPS8

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study unlocks new insights into all‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs), revealing how stack pressure, binder content, and particle size influence the performance of slurry‐processed tetragonal Li7${\rm Li}_7$SiPS8${\rm SiPS}_8$ sheets. An optimal pressure range, larger particles and lower binder contents are needed to deliver the highest ionic ...

Mucosa‐Interfacing Capsule for In Situ Sensing the Elasticity of Biological Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 10, Issue 6, March 18, 2025.
A fundamental mechanism of palpating soft materials is reported to sense deep tissue elasticity in situ with minimal invasion using the interaction between the robot palpation unit and soft tissues. Both the robot locomotion and elasticity sensing functions are remotely controlled by external magnetic fields, while the sensing data are wirelessly ...
