Noncommutative deformations of Kleinian singularities
A Kleinian singularity is the quotient \(K^2/\Gamma\), where \(K\) is an (algebraically closed) field (of characteristic zero) and \(\Gamma\) is a nontrivial finite subgroup of \(\text{SL}_2(K)\). More precisely, this is an object whose coordinate ring is \(K[x,y]^\Gamma\), where the action of \(\Gamma\) on \(K[x,y]\) is extended from the given action ...

The Relationship Between Inflammation and Central Nervous System in Multiple Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Aim Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune demyelination disease that is seen especially in the young population and has a progressive course, causing motor, sensory, and cognitive deficits. In the literature, the pathogenesis of MS disease and the interconnection between the immune and central nervous system in the disease have not been fully ...

Stable tangential families and singularities of their envelopes [PDF]
We study tangential families, i.e. systems of rays emanating tangentially from given curves. We classify, up to Left-Right equivalence, stable singularities of tangential family germs (under deformations among tangential families) and we study their ...

ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Three-dimensional black holes from deformed anti-de Sitter
We present new exact three-dimensional black-string backgrounds, which contain both NS--NS and electromagnetic fields, and generalize the BTZ black holes and the black string studied by Horne and Horowitz. They are obtained as deformations of the Sl(2,R)

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...

Nonlocal vertices and analyticity: Landau equations and general Cutkosky rule
We study the analyticity properties of amplitudes in theories with nonlocal vertices of the type occurring in string field theory and a wide class of nonlocal field theory models.

Nodal deformations of singularities
Deformations of a plane curve singularity \((X,0)\) to \(\delta(X,0)\) nodes are studied using the methods of A'Campo. In particular, it is proved that singularities of type \(y^{d-1} - x^d\), \(y^{2d-1} - x^{2d+1}\) can be deformed into real morsifications preserving the degree of the original polynomial.

Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Hwang-Oguiso invariants and frozen singularities in special geometry
In Special Geometry there are two inequivalent notions of “Kodaira type” for a singular fiber: one associated with its local monodromy and one with its Hwang-Oguiso characteristic cycle.
