Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Evolution Equations with Liouville Derivative on R without Initial Conditions

open access: yesMathematics
New classes of evolution differential equations with the Liouville derivative in Banach spaces are studied. Equations are considered on the whole real line and are not endowed by the initial conditions.

The Motion of closed hypersurfaces in the central force fields

open access: yes, 2016
This paper studies the large time existence for the motion of closed hypersurfaces in a radially symmetric potential. In physical, this surface can be considered as an electrically charged membrane with a constant charge per area in a radially symmetric ...

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Kinetic description of the oblique propagating spin-electron acoustic waves in degenerate plasmas

open access: yes, 2017
Oblique propagation of the spin-electron acoustic waves in degenerate magnetized plasmas is considered in terms of quantum kinetics with the separate spin evolution, where the spin-up electrons and the spin-down electrons are considered as two different ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Investigation of Isoelectronic Doping in p-GaN Based on the Thermal Quenching of UVL Band

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
In this paper, isoelectronic doping with indium (In) in p-GaN is investigated on the basis of the thermal quenching of ultraviolet luminescence (UVL) band.

An infinite branching hierarchy of time-periodic solutions of the Benjamin-Ono equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We present a new representation of solutions of the Benjamin-Ono equation that are periodic in space and time. Up to an additive constant and a Galilean transformation, each of these solutions is a previously known, multi-periodic solution; however, the ...

Convergence to equilibrium for a thin film equation on a cylindrical surface

open access: yes, 2011
The degenerate parabolic equation u_t + [u^3(u_xxx + u_x - sin x)]_x=0 models the evolution of a thin liquid film on a stationary horizontal cylinder. It is shown here that for each given mass there is a unique steady state, given by a droplet hanging ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.
