YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Use of Factorial Designs to Reduce Stability Studies for Parenteral Drug Products: Determination of Factor Effects via Accelerated Stability Data Analysis

open access: yesPharmaceutics
Objectives: This study explores the potential of factorial analysis as an alternative strategy for optimizing stability study designs for registration batches—an approach not currently addressed in ICH Q1D, which focuses solely on bracketing and ...

Constant rate thermal analysis for thermal stability studies of polymers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper explores the relationship between the shapes of temperature-time curves obtained from experimental data recorded by means of constant rate thermal analysis (CRTA) and the kinetic model followed by the thermal degradation reaction.

In‐Depth Profiling Highlights the Effect of Efgartigimod on Peripheral Innate and Adaptive Immune Cells in Myasthenia Gravis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by antibody‐mediated complement activation. Efgartigimod, a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) antagonist, is approved for treating generalized MG (gMG). However, its modulatory effects on upstream innate and adaptive immune cells remain largely unexplored.

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

Enhancement of perfluorooctanoate and perfluorooctanesulfonate activity at acoustic cavitation bubble interfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Acoustic cavitation driven by ultrasonic irradiation decomposes and mineralizes the recalcitrant perfluorinated surfactants perfluorooctanesulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoate (PFOA).

Electrochemical Evaluation of Compressed Selective Laser Melted AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg Alloys in Chloride Environment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The corrosion performance of AlSi7Mg and AlSi10Mg alloys produced through selective laser melting (SLM) was examined under compressive stress in a chloride environment. Electrochemical analyses, including open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization (CPP), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), were complemented by scanning ...

Interest of modelling heat transfer inside a reactor to estimate kinetic parameters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A space-and-time dependent model was developed for a reactor. The model, which combines heat transfer and chemical reaction, was intended to identify kinetic parameters under non-isothermal conditions for lowintermediate moisture foodstuff. In particular,

Reaction-diffusion kinetics on lattice at the microscopic scale

open access: yes, 2018
Lattice-based stochastic simulators are commonly used to study biological reaction-diffusion processes. Some of these schemes that are based on the reaction-diffusion master equation (RDME), can simulate for extended spatial and temporal scales but ...

Kinetic parameter estimation from TGA: Optimal design of TGA experiments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
This work presents a general methodology to determine kinetic models of solid thermal decomposition with thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) instruments. The goal is to determine a simple and robust kinetic model for a given solid with the minimum of TGA ...
