The comparative influence of climate change and demography in spatially distributed degree-day projections for France in the 21st century

open access: yesClimate Services
Heating and cooling in households account for half of global energy use and a significant part of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. These figures are expected to change significantly under the joint influence of climate change and demography.

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

A SHORT SURVEY ON CHAOTIC DYNAMICS IN SOLOW-TYPE GROWTH MODELS [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we review some Solow-type growth models, framed is discrete time, which are able to generate complex dynamic behaviour. For these models put forward by Day (1982, 1983); Bhm and Kaas (2000); and Commendatore (2005) we show that ...

Dietary adherence to whole grain and refined grain rich diets in a randomized controlled trial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Dietary adherence is the degree to which participants follow prescribed dietary protocol. Without measuring adherence, it is not possible to validly measure the effect of the intervention.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Linking Seasonal Temperature Variations with Laboratory-Derived Development Data for Chrysomya rufifacies (Macquart): A Case for Myiasis

open access: yesForensic Sciences
Background: The aging of fly larvae is primarily determined by their temperature-dependent growth rates, a concept widely applied in forensic entomology to estimate the minimum postmortem interval using the accumulated degree day/hour (ADD/ADH) method ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Analysis of heating degree day requirments changes under climate change in South Khorasan [PDF]

open access: yesتحقیقات کاربردی علوم جغرافیایی, 2018
Heating requirements are one of the most important human issues in the fields of agriculture, tourism and energy management in the present and future .Knowing the extent of these changes can be very effective in making decision makers.
