Degree of conversion and permeability of dental adhesives
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 2005The aim of this study was to analyse the extent of polymerization of different adhesive films in relation to their permeability. One adhesive of each class was investigated: OptiBond FL; One‐Step; Clearfil Protect Bond; and Xeno III. Adhesive films were prepared and cured with XL‐2500 (3M ESPE) for 20, 40 or 60 s.

Gaze as a Function of Conversation and Degree of Love
The Journal of Psychology, 1976The possibility that Rubin's findings of greater mutual gazing between strong than weak lovers and between strangers could be attributed to the occurrence of more conversation in strong love conditions was tested. Ss were selected from an undergraduate population.

The Mathematic Method of Membership Conversion from Degree of Coordinates to Degree of Points
2009 International Conference on Environmental Science and Information Application Technology, 2009In any multi-indexes uncertainty decisions, if choosing membership function to describe the uncertainty of every space-index value about some status, it must meet membership degree conversion, which must solve the conversion from membership degree of coordinates to membership degree of points. But the present methods affect the credibility of result of

The degree of conversion (DC) can be defined as the extent to which monomers react to form polymers or as the ratio of C=C double bonds that are converted into C-C single bonds. In the polymerization of bifunctional methacrylates, the complete conversion is never attainable because diffusional restrictions in later stages of the polymerization reaction

Degree of conversion of composites measured by DTA and FTIR
Dental Materials, 2001Differential thermal analysis (DTA) using a split fiber optic light source has been reported to be a convenient method of measuring the degree of conversion (DC) of light-activated composites. The purpose of this study was to compare the results by DTA and Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and evaluate the usefulness of the DTA ...

Degree of Conversion of Composite Resin: A Raman Study
Journal of Clinical Laser Medicine & Surgery, 2003Near infrared Raman spectroscopy (RS) was used to monitor, in vitro, the degree of conversion (DC) of composite resins (Z100, 3M), photoactivated by both the halogen lamp and the argon laser beam.Several methods were used to study the alterations of composite resins. Vibration methods such as RS allow a precise assessment of the depth of polymerization

Contraction Stress Related to Degree of Conversion and Reaction Kinetics
Journal of Dental Research, 2002Polymerization shrinkage of composites bonded to cavity preparations generates stress on the tooth/restoration interface. The purpose of this study was to verify the influence of degree of conversion and speed of polymerization reaction on contraction stress.

An Agile Conversion Masters Degree Programme in Software Development
Proceedings of the 49th ACM Technical Symposium on Computer Science Education, 2018The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry in New Zealand is growing rapidly. The traditional university courses are preparing an insufficient number of graduates to sustain the growth. Many of the traditional graduate students lack key soft skills that are important in team based software development.

Influence of whitening on the degree of conversion of dental adhesives on dentin
European Journal of Oral Sciences, 2006The aim of this study was to analyze the extent of polymerization of different adhesive systems on whitened dentin. One adhesive of each class was investigated: Adper Scotchbond Multi Purpose (3M ESPE); One‐Step (Bisco); Clearfil Protect Bond (Kuraray); and Xeno III (Dentsply DeTrey).

Changes in Degree of Conversion and Microhardness of Dental Resin Cements
Operative Dentistry, 2010SUMMARY There are few studies available on the post-light activation or post-mix polymerization of dental resin cements as a function of time. This in vitro study evaluated the successive changes in the degree of conversion (DC) and microhardness during polymerization of six commercial resin cements (light-cured [Choice 2, RelyX Veneer ...
