PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Dependence of the Degree of Polymerization on Temperature
Kobunshi Kagaku, 1963 1分子停止ラジカル重合および2個の生長反応速度定数をもつ均一ラジカル重合において, 重合度-温度の曲線が極値 (極大値または極小値) をもつための条件を検討した。そして不均一ラジカル重合のような1分子停止反応を伴う重合では, 各棄反応の活性化エネルギーの間に特定の関係があるとき, 極大値が現われることを示した。また連鎖移動反応の起こらないような均一ラジカル重合でも, 各素反応の活性化エネルギーの間に特定の関係があるとき, 極小値の現われることを明らかにした。

FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.
