Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

Random Sparse Graphs with a Given Degree Sequence
Let GD be the set of graphs G(V, E) with n vertices, and the degree sequence equal to D = (d1, d2,..., dn). In addition, for ½ < a < 1, we define the set of graphs with an almost given degree sequence D as follows: Ga(D): = ∪ G(D'), where the union is ...

The cores of random hypergraphs with a given degree sequence
We study random r-uniform n vertex hypergraphs with fixed degree sequenced d = (d(1),...,d(n)), maximum degree Delta = o(n(1/24)) and total degree thetan, where theta is bounded.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

The Number of Subtrees of Trees with Given Degree Sequence
This article investigates some properties of the number of subtrees of a tree with given degree sequence. These results are used to characterize trees with the given degree sequence that have the largest number of subtrees, which generalize the recent ...

Hamilton Cycles and Degree Sequences
Abstract The connection between the degree-sequence and the hamiltonicity of a graph is a classic and much investigated problem of graph-theory. The weaker and weaker sufficient degree conditions for hamiltonicity of Dirac, Posa, Bondy and Chvatal often belong to the curriculum of introductory graph-theory courses.

Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
