Na₂Fe₃(SO₄)₄: A Zero-Strain Sustainable Positive Electrode Material for Na-Ion Batteries. [PDF]

A new sustainable zero‐strain Na2Fe3(SO4)4 (NFS) positive electrode material is obtained by only ball‐milling from cheap and available Na2SO4 and FeSO4. Iron coordination polyhedra include the Fe2O11 dimer of distorted octahedra (active during cycling) and FeO5 trigonal bipyramid, similar to that in the relative Pbca‐Na2Mn3(SO4)4 (NMS).
