Phthalates are widely used as plasticizer and associated with various health issues. Recently, non-phthalate plasticizers are replacing phthalates; however, the exposure to these substances and the risk in Japan is unclear. In this study, we assessed the

Chemical modifications of soluble pyromellitic diimide derivatives with bromo‐ and cyano‐ electron‐withdrawing groups instead of hydrogen lead to an increase of redox potential of 210 and 420 mV respectively compared to the reference. Lithium batteries are considered as the most promising electricity storage solution to support the energy transition ...

Reduction of hazardous chemicals in Swedish preschool dust through article substitution actions
Consumer goods and building materials present in the preschool environment can be important sources of hazardous chemicals, such as plasticizers, bisphenols, organophosphorus and brominated flame retardants, poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances, which may

1 Ah high‐voltage lithium polymer batteries with hybrid ceramic polymer electrolyte, lithium metal anode, and NMC‐811 cathode. Li||Li symmetric cells cycle for over 1000 h at a capacity of 2 mAh cm−2. Pouch cells with 1 Ah capacity achieve energy density of nearly 250 Wh kg−1 and 80% capacity retention after 110 cycles.

This work provides a comprehensive view of the optimal design of hard carbon anodes and the key properties to improve their performance in sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). Several synthesis‐property‐performance relationships are established and insights into Na‐ion storage mechanisms and solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) formation are provided.
