Estimation of dehumidifying performance of solid polymer electrolytic dehumidifier for practical application

Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 2010
A two-layer model for a solid polymer electrolytic (SPE) dehumidifier is applied to a system in which the chamber to be dehumidified has some leakage area. By introducing this area, the attainable humidity in the chamber, which is the steady-state humidity to be attained after a long-time dehumidification, can be defined.

A MULTIFUNCTION DEHUMIDIFYING HEAT PUMP FOR GREENHOUSES

Acta Horticulturae, 2011
mprovements in greenhouse structure and equipment with the aim of saving energy (double walls, thermal screens) have led to better insulation and airtightness but have also induced microclimatic changes, especially on nighttime humidity levels. During the last decade, dynamic climate procedures such as temperature integration have been frequently ...

A Study on Infographic Design of Door Dehumidifier

2020
Millennials in Korea tend to live in a small studio alone. We focused on a common problem that this kind of one-person households have, which is that most of them suffer from laundry process due to the lack of drying feature in the built-in washing machines in their studios.

Development of a performance enhancer for a dehumidifier

Journal of Mechanical Science and Technology, 2020
In this study, performance enhancers (PEs) for dehumidifiers (DHs) were developed, and the PEs were installed on the return air side of the dehumidifier to test and evaluate the performance of the dehumidifier. The PEs were aluminum plates with different pore size distributions that were based on the return air distributions of an evaporator.

Development and experimental study of a novel plate dehumidifier made of anodized aluminum

open access: yesEnergy, 2018
The falling film dehumidifier is a key component in the liquid desiccant cooling system (LDCS). However, the most commonly used metals, such as steel and aluminum, can hardly resist the erosion of liquid desiccant.

Dehumidifiers and air drying

2000
In the unit dehumidifier process, all or part of the condenser heat is used to re-heat the air leaving the evaporator. Since the moisture in the air has given up its latent heat in condensing, this heat is reclaimed and put back into the outlet air. The efficiency of a unit dehumidifier can be improved by a heat exchanger that pre-cools the incoming ...

Microcomputer Controlled Desiccant Dehumidifier

Transactions of the ASAE, 1987
ABSTRACT Aprototype desiccant dehumidifier was built utilizing a horizontal, rotating drum containing solid desiccant. Outlet relative humidity was controlled by a microcomputer responding to various dehumidifier settings and environmental conditions. The system was tested using constant temperature and humidity inlet air.

Thermoelectric Dehumidifier for Sensor Cleaning

2021
In this study, a dry and oil-free air system is developed using easily accessible commercial off-the-shelf components, streamlining the manufacturing process. The significance of this system lies in its ability to prevent contaminants in the air from leaving volatile residues that could potentially harm circuits and disrupt sensor accuracy.

Continuous-flow thermoacoustic dehumidifier

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1998
For applications in gas cooling a thermoacoustic refrigerator may be simplified by using the gas stream itself as the acoustic medium and eliminating the cold heat exchanger by directing the input gas stream through the stack (R. S. Reid et al., ‘‘Cyclic Thermodynamics with Open Flow,’’ Phys. Rev. Lett. to appear May 25, 1998).

Performance and Design of Dehumidifier Wheels

HVAC&R Research, 2009
A new theoretical model is presented for the performance of dehumidifier wheels. The model is aimed at providing design guidance for manufacturers and selection and operation advice for HVAC system designers. To characterize the performance of dehumidifier wheels, water vapor effectiveness, ∊w, and water vapor mass ratio, Δw/Δw*, are defined.
