VASP was found to be overexpressed in metastatic oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) tissues. Notably, PTTG1‐ and VASP‐deficient OSCC cells demonstrated suppressed metastatic properties by disrupting the interaction between the cytoskeleton and focal adhesion (FAs) in the filopodia region.

Dehydration regulates structural reorganization of dynamic hydrogels
The dehydration process is widely recognized as a significant phenomenon in nature. Hydrogels, which are important functional materials with high water content and crosslinked networks, encounter the issue of dehydration in their practical applications ...

Quantifying Cortical Bone Free Water Using short echo time (STE-MRI) at 1.5T [PDF]
Purpose: The purpose of our study was to use Dual-TR STE-MR protocol as a clinical tool for cortical bone free water quantification at 1.5T and validate it by comparing the obtained results (MR-derived results) with dehydration results. Methods: Human studies were compliant with HIPPA and were approved by the institutional review board. Short Echo Time

Circumferential buckling of a hydrogel tube emptying upon dehydration [PDF]
A cylindrical hydrogel tube, completely submerged in water, hydrates by swelling and filling its internal cavity. When it comes back into contact with air, it dehydrates: the tube thus expels the solvent through the walls, shrinking. This dehydration process causes a depression in the tube cavity, which can lead to circumferential buckling.

TGF‐β has a complex role in cancer, exhibiting both tumor‐suppressive and tumor‐promoting properties. Using a series of differentiated tumoroids, derived from different stages and mutational background of colorectal cancer patients, we replicate this duality of TGF‐β in vitro. Notably, the atypical but highly aggressive KRASQ22K mutation rendered early‐
