Effect of structure on the mechanism of dehydration of clay minerals
Thermochimica Acta, 1979Abstract The kinetics of the isothermal dehydration of two clay minerals, attapulgite and powdered vermiculite were studied both in vacuo and in the presence of constant water vapour pressure. The mechanism of dehydration was found to be interfacial where diffusion plays a dominant role and it is called “activated diffusion”.

The relation between structure and dehydration of K2MF5H2O compounds
Thermochimica Acta, 1985Abstract The complexes K2MF5H2O can be devided into two structurally different groups. The dehydration of these compounds has been studied by thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. It was shown that thermal analysis can not be used to distinguish between coordinated and structural water.

Transport Mechanisms in Osmotic Dehydration: The Role of the Structure
Food Science and Technology International, 2003Osmotic dehydration promotes water release from a cellular material immersed in a concentrated solution, while a simultaneous external solute uptake happens. Mass transfer occurs during this operation through different mechanisms to a different extent depending on process variables.

Processes for controlling the structure and texture of dehydrated banana
Drying Technology, 2015This study is about how to control the microstructure of dehydrated banana during drying by a multi-flash drying process. The influence of different drying methods and process variables on the formation of fruit microstructure and texture were evaluated.

Structural reassignment of the dehydration product of 2′‐Hydroxywarfarin
Journal of Heterocyclic Chemistry, 1977AbstractThe base catalyzed condensation reaction between 4‐hydroxycoumarin and o‐hydroxybenzal‐acetone yields 6‐methyl‐6,12‐methano‐6H,12H,13H‐[1]benzopyran[4,3‐d][1,3]benzodioxocin‐13‐one as the product rather than 6‐oxo‐7‐(2‐oxopropyl)‐6H, 7H‐[1]benzopyrano[4,3‐b][1]‐benzopyran as had been previously postulated.

Structural changes during thermal dehydration of ettringite
Advances in Cement Research, 2001Changes in crystal structure of ettringite on dehydration in normal atmosphere have been re-examined by means of thermogravimetry, X-ray diffraction, and 27Al nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. Synthetic ettringite crystals were heated at various temperatures up to 200°C for durations of up to 7 h.

The effect of voluntary fasting and dehydration on posterior ocular structures
Cutaneous and Ocular Toxicology, 2019Islamic Ramadan is the month of fasting, in which intake of food and drink is restricted from sunrise until sunset. The objective of the present study was to find out the effects of religious fasting on posterior ocular structures. In this prospective study, 34 eyes of 34 healthy volunteers with a mean age of 34.09 ± 7.20 years were enrolled. Volunteers

Changes in the structure of synthetic hydrosodalite during dehydration
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences, USSR Division of Chemical Science, 19661. A noticeable decrease in the parameter of the crystal unit cell, representing 2.6%, is observed as the result of the limiting adsorption of water on dehydrated hydro sodalite. 2. A more than one order of magnitude smaller and opposite change in the parameter of the unit cell in the limiting adsorption of water on zeolite NaA serves as

On the dehydration and structural deformations of desmine upon heating
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences, USSR Division of Chemical Science, 19641. The process of dehydration of desmine occurs continuously within a broad temperature interval (from 0 to 470°) and is characterized by a clearly pronounced nonuniformity of the variation, which is evidence of a somewhat different bond energy of the water molecules liberated in different temperature intervals to the layers of aluminumsilicon ...
