The data demonstrates that allergic contact dermatitis is common in WW with OD. The most important allergens include resins (including epoxy resin) and plant‐derived substances (including colophonium). The high share of WW with allergic contact dermatitis and face dermatitis hampers preventive efforts.

“Sanghuang” is a rare, edible, medicinal macrofungus. However, various macrofungi that share similar appearances, habitats, and therapeutic effects with “Sanghuang” have been erroneously used in traditional folk medicine. As of date, metabolic differences among these “Sanghuang”‐like species have been unclear, impeding their commercial utilization ...

Biophysical study of resin acid effects on phospholipid membrane 1 structure and properties [PDF]
Hydrophobic resin acids (RAs) are synthesized by conifer trees as part of their defense mechanisms. One of the functions of RAs in plant defense is suggested to be the perturbation of the cellular membrane.

Organocatalytic C─O Bond Cleavage and Asymmetric Transformations via [1,3]‐Sigmatropic Rearrangement
A direct asymmetric strategy for fulfilling the functional group transfer by aryl ether cleavage and migration is developed, representing the first Brønsted base‐catalyzed asymmetric [1,3]‐sigmatropic rearrangement reaction. The resulting chiral benzofuran products generated through this strategy exhibit significant 3D‐dimensionality and demonstrate ...

Composition of Myroxylon pereirae Resin and Colophonium for Patch Testing
The compositions of two samples of Myroxylon pereirae resin (balsam of Peru) and of colophonium used for patch testing were analysed with gas chromatography–mass spectrometry/flame ionisation detection (GC–MS/FID) of the volatile components obtained by headspace SPME (solid phase microextraction). The main constituents in M.
