Stabilization of Potentially Sticky Substances in Pulp Mill Process Water with Polysaccharides
Characterization of the dissolved and colloidal substances (DCS) in the process water of a bleached chemithermomechanical pulp (BCTMP) production line showed that the major lipophilic substances (wood resins) were dehydroabietic acid, linoleic acid ...

Tracers from Biomass Burning Emissions and Identification of Biomass Burning
The major organic compositions from biomass burning emissions are monosaccharide derivatives from the breakdown of cellulose, generally accompanied by small amounts of straight-chain, aliphatic, oxygenated compounds, and terpenoids from vegetation waxes,

Batch and flow electrochemical methods enable direct C‐7 oxidation of abietic and dehydroabietic acids from colophony or their methyl derivatives to the corresponding ketones, while a mediated protocol enables additional C‐15 oxygenation, providing sustainable and selective routes to diversified abietane derivatives.

Reactions of Dehydroabietic Acid with Phenols
A mixture of dehydroabietic acid (DHAA, RCOOH), phenol, and phosphoryl chloride was heated to give phenyl dehydroabietate in 83 % yield. In the reactions of cresols with DHAA under the same conditions, the yields of tolyl dehydroabietates increased with in the distance between methyl and hydroxyl group.p- MeC6H4O (O) CR> m-MeC6H4O (O) CR> o- MeC6H4O (O)

Diterpenoid Diversity across Land Plants
Here we bridge the knowledge of diterpene chemical diversity, biosynthesis, and evolution from nonvascular mosses and liverworts to that known from vascular plants. ABSTRACT The diverse array of diterpenoid natural products stems from the ease of manipulating the promiscuity of diterpene cyclases.
