MULTI-GNSS RECEIVER FOR AEROSPACE NAVIGATION AND POSITIONING APPLICATIONS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2014
The upcoming Galileo system opens a wide range of new opportunities in the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) market. However, the characteristics of the future GNSS signals require the development of new GNSS receivers.

Multilayer Optics for Synchrotron Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 9, Issue 18, September 18, 2024.
Multilayer optics play a significant role in the present and have substantial potential for the future synchrotron facilities due to their ability to generate constructive interference of both soft to hard X‐rays. This review provides a comprehensive overview of synchrotron multilayer optics, from their upstream theoretical design to their practical ...

Temperature Induced Reversible Switching of the Magnetic Anisotropy in a Neodymium Complex Adsorbed on Graphite

open access: yesSmall, Volume 20, Issue 38, September 19, 2024.
Nd(trensal) is a mononuclear lanthanide complex which undergoes a switch of the magnetic anisotropy from easy‐axis to easy‐plane modifying the temperature. When deposited as an ultra‐thin film over highly ordered pyrolityc graphtie this phenomenon is retained.

Alteration in the Raman spectra of characteristic rock‐forming silicate mixtures due to micrometeorite bombardment

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 55, Issue 8, Page 901-913, August 2024.
Space weathering is almost vanishing in the rock‐forming minerals with simple chemistry while causing complete amorphization of minerals with relatively low melting enthalpy. Raman spectroscopy detects correlations between the induced luminescence and the alteration effects. Raman‐inactive ablation products, such as metallic nanoparticles and volatiles,

Computational tools and algorithms for ion mobility spectrometry‐mass spectrometry

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, Volume 24, Issue 12-13, June 2024.
Abstract Ion mobility spectrometry‐mass spectrometry (IMS‐MS or IM‐MS) is a powerful analytical technique that combines the gas‐phase separation capabilities of IM with the identification and quantification capabilities of MS. IM‐MS can differentiate molecules with indistinguishable masses but different structures (e.g., isomers, isobars, molecular ...

Non‐Oxidative Mechanism in Oxygen‐Based Magneto‐Ionics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 11, Issue 14, May 16, 2024.
This study unveils a non‐oxidative mechanism for oxygen‐based magneto‐ionics in Ta/CoFeB/Pt/MgO/HfO2. The magnetic anisotropy, manipulated via both ionic liquid and solid state gating, undergoes reversible but also irreversible changes which are associated to an MgO crystalline volume expansion.

Fishing areas characterisation using the SIMOcean platform

open access: yesAquatic Living Resources, 2017
In this study, the relationships between sea surface temperature (SST), chlorophyll-a (Chl-a) concentration and catch locations of sardine (Sardina pilchardus) and Atlantic chub mackerel (Scomber colias) were explored using satellite-derived SST and Chl ...

Phobos and Deimos CCD observations [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2008
Aims. This paper give positions of Martian satellites system from CCD observations obtained at the Cassegrain focus of a 1.6 m reflector for the years 1995 and 2003. Methods. These positions were reduced using the scale and orientation parameters, determined from star field positions of Uranus and Pluto systems’ observations that were made in the same ...
