Deimos photometric properties from Mars Express HRSC/SRC observations [PDF]

open access: yes
For more than 21 years, the Mars Express mission (MEx) has been orbiting the Martian system, acquiring data on Mars' surface and atmosphere, as well as on its two moons, Phobos and Deimos.

A mission concept of Phobos/Deimos exploration [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
We have been designing the concept of Phobos/Deimos mission using the Japanese H-2 rocket as a first step in asteroid exploration. In planning the mission concept, we focused on development of methods to characterize the materials of Phobos/Deimos.

New Astrometric Observations of Deimos with the SRC on Mars Express [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Between July 2005 and July 2011 Mars Express performed 50 Deimos approaches. 136 super resolution channel (SRC) images were acquired and used for astrometric (positional) measurements of the small Martian satellite.

DEIMOS: a functional paradigm for mechanical design

open access: yesProceedings of the third international conference on Industrial and engineering applications of artificial intelligence and expert systems - IEA/AIE '90, 1990
This paper presents an expert system paradigm for mechanical design that allows control within the system to be guided by the function of the final design. A concept of functional attributes, which incorporates ideas from both functional reasoning (Freeman & Newell '71) and planning, is used to characterize an object's function.

Phobos and Deimos CCD observations [PDF]

open access: yesAstronomy & Astrophysics, 2008
Aims. This paper give positions of Martian satellites system from CCD observations obtained at the Cassegrain focus of a 1.6 m reflector for the years 1995 and 2003. Methods. These positions were reduced using the scale and orientation parameters, determined from star field positions of Uranus and Pluto systems’ observations that were made in the same ...

Interception maneuver of Deimos, a satellite of Mars

open access: yes
