Bandwidth-Unlimited, Dispersion-Free Tunable Optical Delay Using a Prism Pair [PDF]
We report a nearly perfect bandwidth-unlimited, dispersion-free tunable optical delay system using a prism pair. The observed delay-bandwidth product using a 25-femtosecond light pulse is ~7x104, where the delay time is independent of the signal bandwidth. The present technique breaks from the conventional methods constrained by delay-bandwidth product,

Nuclear prothymosin α inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in lung cancer by increasing Smad7 acetylation and competing with Smad2 for binding to SNAI1, TWIST1, and ZEB1 promoters. In early‐stage cancer, ProT suppresses TGF‐β‐induced EMT, while its loss in the nucleus in late‐stage cancer leads to enhanced EMT and poor prognosis.

Determination of ADP/ATP translocase isoform ratios in malignancy and cellular senescence
The individual functions of three isoforms exchanging ADP and ATP (ADP/ATP translocases; ANTs) on the mitochondrial membrane remain unclear. We developed a method for quantitatively differentiating highly similar human ANT1, ANT2, and ANT3 using parallel reaction monitoring. This method allowed us to assess changes in translocase levels during cellular

Ergodic Interference Alignment with Delayed Feedback [PDF]
We propose new ergodic interference alignment techniques for $K$-user interference channels with delayed feedback. Two delayed feedback scenarios are considered -- delayed channel information at transmitter (CIT) and delayed output feedback. It is proved that the proposed techniques achieve total $2K/(K+2)$ DoF which is higher than that by the ...

Trastuzumab‐deruxtecan, a HER2‐targeting antibody‐drug conjugate, shows promising antitumor activity in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma with low HER2 expression. In vitro and in vivo studies demonstrated dose‐dependent cell death and tumor growth reduction in low HER2‐expressing cell lines, which correlated with drug accumulation measured using a

Numerical bifurcation and hybrid control of a Gompertz model with time delay
In order to study the stability of species, the biological systems are required to reduce or expand the stable region. For a Gompertz model with time delay, a hybrid control Euler method is proposed in which state feedback and parameter perturbation are ...

On the Min-Max-Delay Problem: NP-completeness, Algorithm, and Integrality Gap
We study a delay-sensitive information flow problem where a source streams information to a sink over a directed graph G(V,E) at a fixed rate R possibly using multiple paths to minimize the maximum end-to-end delay, denoted as the Min-Max-Delay problem ...

A nucleotide‐independent, pan‐RAS‐targeted DARPin elicits anti‐tumor activity in a multimodal manner
We report a Designed Ankyrin Repeat Protein that binds and inhibits RAS proteins, which serve as central cell signaling hubs and are essential for the progression of many cancers. Its unique feature is that it does not discriminate between different RAS isoforms or mutations and is capable of binding to RAS in both its active (GTP‐bound) and inactive ...

2,5-Dimethyl-4-hydroxy-3(2H)-furanone (Furaneol®) from Methyl ?-D-Glucopyranoside
An efficient synthesis of 2,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxy-3(2H)-furanone (Furaneol®), an important strawberry flavour, starting from the readily available and cheap methyl ?-D-glucopyranoside is described.

Delay time modulation induced oscillating synchronization and intermittent anticipatory/lag and complete synchronizations in time-delay nonlinear dynamical systems [PDF]
Existence of a new type of oscillating synchronization that oscillates between three different types of synchronizations (anticipatory, complete and lag synchronizations) is identified in unidirectionally coupled nonlinear time-delay systems having two different time-delays, that is feedback delay with a periodic delay time modulation and a constant ...
