Asymptotic properties of one differential equation with unbounded delay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
summary:We study the asymptotic behavior of the solutions of a differential equation with unbounded delay. The results presented are based on the first Lyapunov method, which is often used to construct solutions of ordinary differential equations in the ...

Periodic solutions for functional differential equations with periodic delay close to zero

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2006
This paper studies the existence of periodic solutions to the delay differential equation $$ dot{x}(t)=f(x(t-muau(t)),epsilon),. $$ The analysis is based on a perturbation method previously used for retarded differential equations with constant delay. By

AscF in the mycobacterial CIII–CIV supercomplex lacks metal and nucleotide binding but links malate oxidation to respiration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The mycobacterial CIII‐CIV respiratory supercomplex is an obligate assembly, encompassing several subunits of unknown functions. We have characterized the intracellular subunit AscF, and show that it is unlikely to be a sensor for metals or nucleotides, but is required for growth on nonfermentable energy sources, and likely works as an adapter for ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Some Applications of Bifurcation Formulae to the Period Maps of Delay Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Our purpose is to present some applications of the bifurcation formulae derived in [13] for periodic delay differential equations. We prove that a sequence of Neimark-Sacker bifurcations occurs as the parameter increases.

On exponential stability of second order delay differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
summary:We propose a new method for studying stability of second order delay differential equations. Results we obtained are of the form: the exponential stability of ordinary differential equation implies the exponential stability of the corresponding ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Approximation of neutral delay-differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
[Mathematical notation cannot be correctly represented here; please see PDF below for full equations.] We study questions related to stability and approximation of the system of linear neutral delay differential equations [equation] with appropriate ...

Global existence results for second order neutral functional differential equation with state-dependent delay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
summary:Our aim in this work is to provide sufficient conditions for the existence of global solutions of second order neutral functional differential equation with state-dependent delay.
