Delivery and Delivery Frequency

open access: yesBulletin of Science and Practice
Vaginal delivery is preferred given that morbidity and mortality associated with operative caesarean section have increased over time. Caesarean section is a unique measure of preserving the health and life of the mother or fetus, but the global rise in its frequency is alarming. Medical caesarean section is an effective method of reducing maternal and

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

VECTORS FOR VITAMINS DELIVERY: NANO-LIPOSOMES PRODUCTION VIA ULTRASONIC IRRADIATION

open access: yes, 2014
Drug delivery vectors are of critical importance for controlled and targeted release of therapeutic agents. Their biodegradability, targetability, nano- and micro- size, prolonged half-life in the bloodstream, accumulation in pathological areas and ...

The Impact of Electronic Journals on Document Delivery Services [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Collection management policies of libraries were mainly shaped by in-house use of materials in the past. Yet the emergence of electronic journals and their availability through publishers’ or aggregators’ web sites is changing this practice considerably.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

FORMULATION STRATEGIES FOR ENHANCED TOPICAL BIOAVAILABILITY

open access: yesРазработка и регистрация лекарственных средств, 2019
This article has described some of the ways in which the delivery of an active ingredients, in terms of there rate of permeation and location within the skin, can be controlled through formulation design. Every ingredient in the formulation possesses the

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...
