IMPACTS OF INCOME DISTRIBUTION ON MARKET DEMAND [PDF]
This study develops a procedure to estimate income distribution effects on market demand. The proposed procedure contains two steps: estimation of the underlying income distribution and estimation of market demand. Empirical findings show that the income

Worldwide carsharing has grown significantly in recent years. The traditional round-trip model is no longer the only carsharing model offered. It is now being accompanied by more flexible options such as one-way station-based, free-floating and peer-to-peer carsharing.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

A Symmetric Approach to Canadian Meat Demand Estimation
Variability in published meat demand elasticity estimates for Canada motivates examining the importance of dynamics and endogeneity of right-hand-side variables.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Housing Demand with Random Group Effects [PDF]
This paper examines the random group effect, which has usually not been considered in traditional housing demand studies. Frequently, group level variables are used in housing demand estimation due to the data constraint.

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Empirical Research on the Demand for Influenza Vaccination Among the Elderly, [PDF]
Purpose: This paper analyses what factors determine the demand for vaccination among the elderly as a high risk group. Using the estimation results, this paper then evaluates how legal requirements and/or subsidies affect their demand.

Demand estimation with availability variation
Estimates of demand are identified from variation in the choice sets that consumers face and the corresponding purchase probabilities for individual products. Retail settings often provide an opportunity to observe variation in consumer choice sets that arises not only through changes in observable product characteristics, such as price, but also ...
