Increasing Demultiplexing Efficiency in TCP/IP Network Servers
This paper shows how software caches and hashing to multiple PCB (protocol control block) lists can increase demultiplexing efficiency in TCP/IP network server. We implemented six algorithms and executed 200 simulations-- using four server traffic traces

Optical mode demultiplexing for data communication networks
The mode-division multiplexing is recognized as an effective solution for increasing the capacity of the optical communication systems. In view of short-distance applications, as data communication intra and inter data centres, where cost, complexity and

Assessing differences among elasmobranch nurseries to aid conservation based on a genomics framework
Abstract Elasmobranch nurseries often differ in environmental conditions, demographics, and use patterns. These differences affect the distribution of genetic variation among nurseries. However, conservation and management strategies often fail to account for such differences because they are difficult to characterize.

Real-time optical demultiplexing with the chirped pulses
A scheme for real-time optical demultiplexing is proposed by utilizing the time-broadened and linearly chirped pulses instead of the conventional mode-locked pulses.

Abstract Polymetallic sulfide deposits produced at hydrothermal vent fields are targets for mining exploitation along the Mid‐Atlantic Ridge, threatening the functioning and resilience of vent ecosystems that provide multiple ecosystem services. Knowledge about connectivity between vents will inform conservation practices.

In the Drosophila ovarian niche, an E‐cadherin‐to‐N‐cadherin switch, mediated by Wnt‐mir‐994 signalling, is repurposed to ensure niche resilience. This compensatory mechanism maintains niche integrity and stem cell support upon E‐cadherin loss, revealing a robustness circuit.

GBASCs are MMRp tumours, exhibiting minimal HER2 overexpression and elevated PD‐L1 expression compared to adenocarcinomas. Especially in metastatic and TP53‐wild type tumours, GBASCs can express CLDN18, albeit limited to the glandular component. Their genomic profile resembles that of adenocarcinomas with an enrichment in alterations on PIK3CA, PTEN ...

Fine‐scale genetic structure in animal populations can create opportunities for both kin‐directed co‐operation and kin competition. Knowledge of kinship is therefore key to understanding the selective pressures shaping sociality as well as the effects of social behaviour on local genetic structure.

Polarization Demultiplexing By Independent Component Analysis
Independent component analysis has been applied to polarization demultiplexing for coherent optical fiber communications. Polarization- multiplexed quadrature phase-shift keying and quadrature amplitude modulated signals were successfully demultiplexed ...
