The effect of rapid chair-side sterilization of contaminated endodontic files [PDF]

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Stomatology
Endodontic treatment is carried out in order to preserve a tooth whose pulp has been damaged where the injury extends to the peri-radicular tissue. The endodontic treatment is cleaning, disinfection of the root canal space and shaping it, followed by ...

Homology of dendroidal sets [PDF]

open access: yesHomology, Homotopy and Applications, 2017
We define for every dendroidal set X a chain complex and show that this assignment determines a left Quillen functor. Then we define the homology groups $H_n(X)$ as the homology groups of this chain complex. This generalizes the homology of simplicial sets.

Calyx and epicalyx morphology in Indian Hibiscus (Malvaceae) and its taxonomic importance

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Hibisceae is one of the largest tribes in Malvaceae, having a diverse floral morphology. The genus Hibiscus shows a wide range of evolutionary patterns in calyx and epicalyx morphology. Genera like Abelmoschus, Azanza, Gossypium, Hibiscus, and Thespesia are separated on the basis of calyx and epicalyx morphology, meaning that the calyx and epicalyx have

Dendroidal Spaces and ∞-Operads

open access: yes, 2022
AbstractRecall that a dendroidal set X is an ∞-operad if it satisfies the inner Kan condition; i.e., it has the extension property with respect to all inner horn inclusions of trees. In particular, this condition guarantees that if we interpret the sets X(T) as ‘sets of operations’ parametrized by the tree T, then there is a notion of composition of ...

Changing climates and environments within the complex Middle to Late Pleistocene fill of an overdeepened valley at Niederweningen, Switzerland

open access: yesBoreas, EarlyView.
Glacially overdeepened valleys in the northern Alpine Foreland preserve Middle to Late Pleistocene sedimentary sequences that may serve as valuable archives for reconstructing past environmental changes in response to shifts in climate. This study presents a multidisciplinary analysis of two sediment cores from the overdeepened Wehntal Valley at ...
