Denning Ecology of Brown Bear (Ursus arctos L.) in the Nature Park Velebit, Croatia

A brown bear den can be a smaller rock cavity, hollow tree cavity, root or stump excavation, hollow log, or excavation under a rock. The research was conducted in the area of Nature Park Velebit. A total of 30 dens were found and processed. Most of dens found were small rock cavities (77 %).
