Dynamical evolution of high velocity clouds in the intergalactic medium [PDF]
HI observations of high-velocity clouds (HVCs) indicate, that they are interacting with their ambient medium. Even clouds located in the very outer Galactic halo or the intergalactic space seem to interact with their ambient medium.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Neutrino photoproduction on the electron in dense magnetized medium
The process of neutrino photoproduction on an electron, e γ → e v v ¯ , in a strongly magnetized cold plasma in resonant case has been considered. The contribution of this process to the neutrino emissivity has been calculated.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Design of intelligent control system for dense medium suspension density with wide domai
In order to meet demand of adjusting dense medium suspension density in wide range due to change of raw coal quality, an intelligent control system for dense medium suspension density with wide domain was designed by using reverse split technology in ...

We propose a model of suppression of large $p_T$-pions in heavy ion collisions based on the interaction of the large $p_T$ pion with the dense medium created in the collision. The model is practically the same as the one previously introduced to describe

This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Propagation of monochromatic light in a hot and dense medium
Photons, as quanta of electromagnetic fields, determine the electromagnetic properties of an extremely hot and dense medium. Considering the properties of the photons in the interacting medium of charged particles, we explicitly calculate the ...
