Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Analysis and evaluation on pressure fluctuations in air dense medium fluidized bed
Pressure fluctuations contribute to the instability of separation process in air dense medium fluidized bed, which provides a high motivation for further study of underlying mechanisms.

Filaments in Galactic Winds Driven by Young Stellar Clusters
The starburst galaxy M82 shows a system of H$\alpha$-emitting filaments which extend to each side of the galactic disk. We model these filaments as the result of the interaction between the winds from a distribution of Super Stellar Clusters (SSCs).

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Clumped stellar winds in supergiant high-mass X-ray binaries: X-ray variability and photoionization
The clumping of massive star winds is an established paradigm confirmed by multiple lines of evidence and supported by stellar wind theory. The purpose of this paper is to bridge the gap between detailed models of inhomogeneous stellar winds in single ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Beyond Bessemer: The past, present, and future of dense medium separation in the coal industry [PDF]
This paper traces the development and evolution of dense medium separation (DMS) equipment in the coal industry, beginning with Sir Henry Bessemer's 1858 patent.

The condensation of diffuse gas into molecular clouds occurs at a rate driven largely by turbulent dissipation. This process still has to be caught in action and characterized.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Numerical Analysis of the Changes in Dense Medium Feed Solids on Dense Medium Cyclone Performance [PDF]
Numerical simulations of changes in feed medium solids on dense medium cyclone performance were performed using a multi-phase mixture CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) model for medium and air-core coupled with Lagrangian model for coal particles for a ...
